What we collect

OnsenBase is a static website. We do not require accounts, and we do not collect names, email addresses or payment information. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookie-free tool, to understand which articles are read (page views, country, referrer — no individual profiles, no cross-site tracking).

Affiliate links and cookies

Booking links on this site point to online travel agencies (Agoda, Booking.com, Trip.com, Expedia and others) through affiliate networks. When you click one, the destination site may set cookies to attribute your reservation. Those cookies are governed by the destination site's own privacy policy — we never see your booking details, only anonymous, aggregate commission reports.

To make that attribution work, this site loads a small script from Travelpayouts ("Drive"), the affiliate network we partner with. It converts outbound booking links into tracked affiliate links and counts clicks in aggregate. It does not read your name, email or payment details, and we only ever see anonymous statistics.
